Imagin that you would have a chip in your visual and auditory cortex and one in your amygdala, bad things could happen with some small code:
For instance, if someone would program a suicide loop that triggers amygdala with peeks to deactivate the cortex then transmit suicide visuals like cutting the arms with a knife, while keeping the amygdala triggered after a few minutes the person would probably cut his arm, because the selve that should prevent from selve damage would be jammed.
The psychiatrist would probably say after finding out, that it’s not the persons mind but some outside factors as described, he would probably argue: the «patient» has to train that, which could be a fat lie. To find out, if it is a lie, just transmit the same code to the psychiatrist, and if he triggers too, then it would be proven that this is just a concept to generate business for the psychiatrist and to torture the «patient».
A normal person that has such sorts of access codes would just run this code while the psychiatrist would create some mental construct which would «explain» such behavior.
